Project "Human impacts on the composition of communities in Swiss rivers" - integrates existing data from several Swiss monitoring programs to analyze effects of multiple stressors on the macroinvertebrate and fish communities in Swiss rivers with multivariate statistical methods.
Candidates for this position should either hold an MSc degree in ecology, environmental sciences or a related field with a strong interest in applied statistics and mathematics or an MSc degree in mathematics or physics with a strong interest in ecological applications. Candidates should demonstrate advanced skills in statistical data analysis and experience in programming. Experience in macroinvertebrate and/or fish ecology would be an advantage. Fluency in English is required.
Applications deadline: 21 September 2015 or until the position is filled. For further information, please consult www.eawag.ch or contact: Dr. Nele Schuwirth, nele.schuwirth@eawag.ch or Prof. Peter Reichert, reichert@eawag.ch.
